Our team shares a concern over the environment impacts of mountain tourism - and weGangtok endeavor in promoting quality responsible tourism. Our concern for the environment stems from the fact that we live here among the mountains and our livelihood depends on the balance of the delicate ecosystem which the Himalayan hosts. We use only LPG gas and kerosene burning stoves for cooking. Our meals are designed to favor local foods thereby considerably minimizing packaging wastes and fuel consumption. All non-biodegradable garbage is carried out and disposed off in a responsible & environmental friendly manner. Also, the welfare of our porters & staff is also given due concern. We have set strict and comprehensive guidelines for ourselves regarding Eco-tourism practices in our operations.
